CoWorking Code of Conduct

By subscribing to The Gathering CoWork, you’re agreeing to the following terms.

  1. Your subscription is at-will and based upon the prepaid monthly plans available on gatheringsj.org. It can be terminated for any reason and without warning. Any funds prepaid but unused upon termination by The Gathering will be returned on a prorated basis by the day or days unused. If you terminate your subscription, your billing will cease upon the next billing cycle. Any unused days will not be refunded upon your termination.

  2. The Gathering is entering into a relationship with you based on trust in you to follow this code of conduct and operate within the limits of your subscription. A violation of this trust could result in immediate suspension or termination of your subscription.

  3. By coworking at The Gathering, you acknowledge that you are in our space by your own volition, and that The Gathering and it’s staff are not liable for anything that may happen to you while within our facilities. The Gathering will maintain a safe environment in accordance with the building codes and regulations of Santa Clara County.

  4. The Gathering is not responsible for any items that are lost or unaccounted for. You are responsible for your belongings while at The Gathering. None of your belongings can be secured at The Gathering, meaning you must come and go with whatever belongs to you. Any items left at The Gathering are left at your own risk.

  5. The Gathering facilities are a substance, smoke, and alcohol-free environment. Abuse of this rule will result in the immediate termination of your subscription and no refund will be given for the current billing cycle.

  6. Our premises are under surveillance 24/7 with a 30-day recording cycle. Cameras are reviewed daily. Any abuse of our spaces through vandalism, disregard for personal items, theft, access unavailable spaces, or anything else The Gathering deems inappropriate towards our venue will result in immediate termination of your subscription, and no refund will be given for the current billing cycle.

  7. The Gathering is a community space, and requires respect and consideration for others coworking at The Gathering. We expect all subscribers to treat one another well and consider the environment. Disruptive sounds, inappropriate behaviors, and inconsiderate actions will not be tolerated. The Gathering staff will directly confront any of these, and make a decision to warn, suspend, or terminate the subscription of anyone violating this agreement.

  8. If you have a face-to-face meeting of any type, you must register your guest via the Guest Registration form on gatheringsj.org/cowork-guest. Your guest will have up to two-hours of access for your meeting. Any further time needed must be approved by The Gathering staff. Any unregistered guests will be asked to leave, and your subscription could be suspended or terminated for violating this agreement.

  9. We expect friends and colleagues to drop by. This is ok, as long as their visit is limited to thirty-minutes. You are responsible for your visitors, and should they violate this agreement, it would be no different than you violating the agreement. Your subscription could be suspended or terminated, and no refund will be given for the current billing cycle.

  10. The WIFI at The Gathering is included in your subscription, and not to be shared with anyone. If you are found to be sharing access to the WIFI network (basic or premium), your subscription could be suspended or terminated.
