When we say we’re a place for everyone, we mean it.

Ultimately, we care about community. We believe in a community that celebrates one another, champions one another, encourages one another, challenges one another, & grows with one another. You are welcome here no matter your situation.

We were founded in 2015 as a faith-based community that set out to break the norms of what it means to be a Christian. We witnessed too many people hurt and rejected by the local church, and we knew that we had to do something.

A few years later while the church met in downtown San Jose, we opened our Creative Space in Charter Park. When The Gathering reopened after the initial pandemic lockdown, we relocated the church to the Creative Space, and transformed it into what it is today.

The Gathering is a cafe, a community center, a coworking space, a venue, and a faith community. Come check us out anytime.
